SMTMAS Founder - Russell White
Southern Middle Tennessee Martial Arts Seminar was founded in 2023 by Russell White of Green Dragon Martial Arts in Chapel Hill, TN. Russell considers himself to be a young martial artist, young in years of martial arts experience. He has earned a 4th-degree black belt in Progressive Kenpo.
Russell has practiced and trained with many masters in the styles of Tai Chi, Wing Chun, JKD, and American Kenpo.

The First Annual SMTMAS is a seminar that welcomes all styles to one location in an effort to share and grow in martial learning.

STEVEN WILLIAMSON
Steven has been a martial arts student for over 30 years. He holds multiple black belts of various degrees in arts such as Chinese Kenpo, Aikido, Shorin Ryu, with years of study and a blue belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu.
Steven has also taught PPCT defensive tactics for
law enforcement.
He has had the honor to train some talented martial artists that have competed in local, national, and international martial arts competitions...as well as trained some local MMA and kickboxing talent.
Currently, Steven is training and working for a local Private Security Company in defensive and control tactics.

Michael Weedman began his martial arts career in 2004 under the direction of the late Jeremy Zinsky (GoDan).
Michael was ranked in Tracy’s Kenpo Karate under Sensei Zinsky to ShoDan in Dec 2007.
Michael also trained in the arts of Shorin-Ryu, Aikido, Iaido, Shotokan, ju-jitsu, and Chinese Kenpo Karate.
Michael began instructing under the direction of Sensei Zinsky in 2008 and continued to teach the system passed on by Sensei Zinsky.
After the passing of Sensei Zinsky, Michael continued his training and teaching with the material passed down to him.
In 2019 Michael began training in the Padgett Kenpo Karate Association (PKKA) under the direction of Sensei Jason Bayless (4th degree) where he is currently training and pursuing higher knowledge.
In 2019 Michael hosted the 1st Middle Tennessee Martial Arts Seminar (MTMAS) that included many top notch instructors and has become a yearly staple in the Middle Tennessee Martial Arts Community.
In 2019 Michael was recognized by the Scottish Budo Association as ShoDan by Grand Master Stuart Gavin.
Michael’s vision is to continue to grow and train under those men and women who have opened their door to him and that MTMAS will continue to grow into a mechanism that will allow all Martial Artists of all backgrounds to come together and train with one agenda, to make each other better.

Gunter
Kevin began his formal martial arts training in 1998, studying Wado Ryu Karate under Sensei Brad Craven transitioning to American Kenpo in 2000 under Sifu Steven Prater.
Kevin currently a 4th degree Black belt in the art of Kenpo Jujutsu, an already combining Sifu Praters knowledge of Kenpo, pressure points, Small circle jujitsu, and Systema.

Mike Sullivan

Mike is 40 years old and has been a mixed martial artists for 24 years.
Mike has also been a
trainer for 15 years
Mike has Cornered over 50 fights in boxing, cage fights, and kickboxing
He has Fought several times in the cage, boxing rings, kick boxing rings, and jujitsu tournaments.
Mike was has been the Golden Glove Champion multiple times.
He has trained title holders in kickboxing cage
fighting and boxing.
Mike has managed, promoted and trained pro boxers and pro cage fighters.
Mike's MMA training has included American kenpo, Russian sistema, boxing, American kickboxing, Muay Thai kickboxing, Gracie, Brazilian and Japanese Jujitsu, Swat Training, Active Shooter training, Judo, Wrestling, Taekwondo, Aikido, and Catch Wrestling.
